Stuart Hateley
Director and Technician
- Learned his trade as a Toyota technician and spent 12 years working on the Japanese brand including becoming Junior Technician of the Year way back in 1999.
- Enjoys in-depth diagnostic work and is constantly learning and researching new technologies – a bit of a data geek!
- Enjoys weekends away camping and spending time with his family.
Ross Hateley
Director and Technician
- Worked for Nissan for 11 years before forming Japex with Stuart in 2005.
- Favourite jobs in the workshop include tidying up and making cups of tea!
- A perfectionist and OCD expert with a keen eye for detail.
- Enjoys getting out on his bike at the weekends and spending time with his family.
Danny Southern
Service Manager
- Loves the daily challenge of helping customers and exceeding their expectations.
- A fountain of knowledge and up-to-date with the ever-changing motor trade.
- If there is something he doesn’t know, he’ll find out. Won’t be beaten!
- Enjoys the outdoor life and spending time with his son.
Bob Hateley
Technician and Workshop Guru
- Been around since the dawn of time and helped invent the wheel in the 4th Millennium BC.
- A unique problem solver and mentor to all in the workshop.
- The one to go to for all kinds of help and advice.
- Enjoys cooking, walking, and spending time with his wife and grandchildren.
Jamie Scott
Diagnostic Technician and Wheel Alignment Specialist
- Earned his Master Tech badge with Hyundai and has since developed his skills further with the amazing training provider Technical Topics headed by James Dillon.
- Enjoys modifying cars and spending time with friends and family.
- Loves a cheeseburger combined with a whiskey and Coke. Say no more!
Dylan Shankland
Technician
- Just completed his 3-year apprenticeship and is already miles ahead of his peers. Dylan is confidently taking on the bigger challenges and solving problems that time-served technicians struggle with.
- Enjoys safety-related work such as brakes and suspension as well as getting stuck in with diagnostic work and oscilloscopes. Likes to know that vehicles leave his care repaired and the customers are happy.

Ben Hooper
Technician – Mercedes Specialist
- Spent 10 years with Mercedes before joining us. Enjoys working on newer vehicles and getting his teeth into the larger jobs.
- Likes keeping fit and is looking forward to married life.
Pat Hateley
Parts manager
- In control of all parts in and out. Always plans ahead to ensure that parts are ready to be installed when the vehicles arrive at the workshop. A logistical wizard.
- Married to Bob and met at the annual wheel invention parade in the 4^th Millenium BC.
- Enjoys gardening, walking and spending time with family.
Becky Hateley
Service Advisor/Admin
- Works part-time but still manages to keep us all in check. If Becky is not on the front desk then she will be in the office making sure the business is running smoothly keeping an eye on utility costs.
- Becky also runs her own fitness business ‘High Five Family Fitness’.
